Happy Labor Day! Welcome Fall!

happy labor dayLabor Day, the unofficial end of summer in Michigan and the beginning of all things fall. The weather slowly transitions from hot summer to cool, crisp fall. As we move from one season to another, here are a few things to keep in mind, so you are ready.

Is Summer Over After Labor Day?

Keep in mind is that summer is ending, but it is not over. You may want to wait on packing up your summer clothes and you will enjoy using your AC for the next several weeks.  A ceiling fan can help keep your home comfortable by distributing the cooler air, running your AC often.

Got Allergies?

moldWith the change in the weather, fall allergies make this time of year into a sneezing nightmare for the allergen sufferers. While we can’t do much about the air outside, there are things to do to make sure the air you breathe inside your home is clean and pure.

  1. Change the air filter inside your furnace. A clean filter improves your indoor air quality, and keeps your HVAC system running efficiently.
  2. Schedule our friends from Safety King to thoroughly clean and sanitize your ductwork. Cleaning ducts is a great way to remove allergens and bacteria from the air you breathe in your home.
  3. Get an estimate for a home air purifier.  Carrier’s in-home Air Purifier have the patented Captures & Kills technology, keeping captured viruses, bacteria, and mold from growing on the filter.  These air purifiers have at least a 96% germicidal inactivation within 24 hrs.
  4. GPS-2400-282x300Get an estimate for a Global Plasma System. GPS-2400 fits inside any system and kills 99.6% of contaminants in less than 15 minutes. GPS systems are known to help with oror, mold, virus, bacteria, allergens, and more.
