HVAC Maintenance Is Best For Your System

Our friends at Plant Engineering shared their Top Five tips to make HVAC maintenance more effective.  They share that preventive maintenance is key to keeping HVAC systems running effectively and efficiently, and we agree!  This article is written for large facilities, but maintenance is important for the homeowner too.

dirty carrierAs your HVAC system runs, it accumulates dust and dirt in key areas that affect its efficiency, like the condensing coils and air filters. Left unchecked, your A/C system can lose 5 percent of its operating efficiency each year because of this buildup, meaning it can’t cool your house as capably as it could if it were clean.

dirtyfilterWe offer our customers an A/C tune-up in the spring and a furnace tune-up in the fall, this allows us to check and replace filters, clean systems and make sure everything is running properly.  Most tune-ups are minimal cost to our customers, but are a big savings in the long run.  A well kept system with a yearly maintenance check by a licensed HVAC expert can help reduce your monthly energy bill by up to 15 percent and help prevent earlier-than-normal breakdowns.

If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to call us and our friendly technicians will be happy to help you.
